Our cabin site beside the lake was such a peaceful place, with contented wildlife...
... and contented humans.
We could have stayed for many days, walking on the beach and floating down the lake outflow. Floating down, getting out and walking back to jump in again reminded us of Mataranka Bitter Springs in the Northern Territory which we visited in 2015 (sadly pre-blog).
We took some time to drive down to the other end of South Durras, which is more sheltered. There is a caravan park at each end, and we can never decide which one we like to stay at best.
But sadly all short breaks have to end. We stopped in Batemans Bay for coffee by the Clyde River.
